ST. PAUL, Minn. (KEYC) â Gov. Tim Walz announced the end to Minnesotaâs statewide mask requirement after new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was released Thursday.
The CDC announced Thursday that masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals, either indoors or outside, in most public places.
However, private businesses and local municipalities may still implement face-covering requirements. Walz adds that Minnesotans who are not fully vaccinated are strongly recommended to wear face coverings indoors.
