SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) Juniper Networks Inc. (JNPR) on Tuesday reported a first-quarter loss of $31.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 30 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 25 cents per share.
The computer network equipment maker posted revenue of $1.07 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.06 billion.
