The Seattle Seahawks say they made the most of their three picks in the 2021 NFL draft.
The Seahawks’ three picks were the fewest for any team in the league and their selections were the second-fewest players in the common draft era that began in 1967. Even with the paltry number of selections, the Seahawks addressed holes on offense and the continuing echo of quarterback Russell Wilson’s complaints about the unit.

RENTON John Schneider and Pete Carroll sat down to explain the thoughts behind the newest additions to the Seattle Seahawks before the NFL draft was even complete.
Yes, making just three picks created some weird circumstances for the traditionally pick-heavy Seahawks.
“Unique is the word we keep using and it was just very interesting to watch everybody work their way through this draft, and talk to other teams and how they viewed things,” Schneider said.
On where he spent the most time on the offensive line over the past two years: The last few years, I would say I ve spent more time on the left. I ve always kind of worked on the right side too, but I played more left this past season.
On what he takes most pride in with his game: Just my size. You can t teach size so I learn my body and learn my arms and everything like that. Using myself in the pass game to keep those guys off of me.
On what these past few days have been like for him and why he thinks it took until the sixth round for someone to pick him:

Seattle wrapped up its thinnest draft in franchise history on Saturday adding Oklahoma cornerback Tre Brown in the fourth-round and Florida offensive tackle Stone Forsythe in the sixth to go along with Western Michigan wide receiver D Wayne Eskridge selected in the second round.

Seattle has a pair of starting tackles under contract in Duane Brown and Brandon Shell, but both players are scheduled to be free agents next March. Forsythe provides the organization with a hedge who could become a long-term starter on the left or right side.

Putting a bow on the smallest draft class in franchise history, the Seahawks shipped picks 217 and 250 to the Bears to move up nine spots and select Florida tackle Stone Forsyth with the 208th overall selection.
Seattle will enter the 2021 season with Duane Brown and Brandon Shell cemented in the starting lineup at both tackle spots. But beyond next season, the team has major question marks at both positions, as both players are set to become free agents next March and Brown will turn 36 years old in August.
