Long intermissions between picks has been a theme for the Seahawks in the 2021 NFL Draft. This was to be expected, given they entered the draft with just three selections in pocket and stayed put at their highest scheduled pick at No. 56. With a fairly small trade back from pick No. 129 to No. 137 with the Bucs in the fourth round, they hauled in an additional choice slotted in the latter half of the sixth round, No. 217.

Mel Kiper, Jr., had Darrisaw as the third-rated tackle in the draft, as did analytics website
Daniel Jeremiah ranked Darrisaw fifth at that position.
The selection of Darrisaw continues the recent investment of high picks toward the Vikings offensive line that includes tackle Brian O Neill (2018 second round), center Garrett Bradbury (2019 first round) and Ezra Cleveland (2020 second round). Minnesota s left tackle spot opened after four-year starter Riley Reiff departed during free agency.
Darrisaw, a junior who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 322 pounds on

Over the past 36 years, the Cardinals have not seen a 600-yard receiving season from a tight end. Jay Novacek, of Cowboys fame, leads the pack with 569 in 1988. Since moving to Arizona that year, the Cards have used five second- or third-round picks on tight ends most recently Rob Housler and Troy Niklas and signed the likes of Todd Heap, Jermaine Gresham, and Maxx Williams. But the franchise has long displayed apathy for this post and now employs a coach not big on tight end usage. Dan Arnold did show promise last season but became a Panther for two years and $6 million. A fascinating, half-committed search continues.

The Tennessee Titans did not wait for the start of the 2021 NFL Draft to add to their roster Thursday.
Tennessee claimed offensive lineman Elijah Nkansah off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.
Undrafted out of Toledo in 2018, he has spent the majority of his time in the NFL on the practice squads of the Seahawks and Houston Texans. The Colts signed him to a futures contract following last season but waived him on Wednesday.
His game experience is minimal but meaningful. Nkansah played one game as a rookie with Seattle in 2018 and was on the field for one play in that game after another player was injured. It was third-and-inches from the opponents’ 4-yard line, and the Seahawks ran it in for a touchdown.
