Trevor Burgess and
Gary Hess first met during Pride Month and to mark their silver anniversary, they’re donating to groups and causes that have supported them over the years.
“We ve built, together, two successful businesses in St. Petersburg and we decided we wanted to give back to our community,” Burgess explains. “So we picked 10 organizations, many that we have worked with before and some that are in special need right now, and decided that we would make 10 $25,000 gifts.”
The group of grateful recipients includes museums, clinics and LGBTQ organizations. The couple hopes their story encourages others to contribute to causes they care about who may be struggling right now. “Pick the organization that really speaks to you,” Burgess says. “And giving as little as $5 a month or a one-time gift can make a big difference for that institution over time.”

Neptune to Offer Flood Insurance to Small Business Administration Borrowers May 14, 2021
Neptune Flood, an AI-driven flood insurance company, has launched sbaflood.com designed for SBA borrowers to obtain commercial flood insurance. Both owners and tenants are eligible for commercial flood insurance through the new platform.
Government backed business loans, such as those from the SBA, on property or contents that are in a high-risk or mandatory flood zone (generally one that begins with an A or V) require the purchase of flood insurance. sbaflood.com from Neptune offers a digital flood insurance platform where businesses can quote and bind coverage online in under two minutes. Neptune’s flood insurance policy meets all of the requirements for mandatory bank acceptance.

Neptune Flood, the AI-driven flood insurance provider, has unveiled its latest capacity programme, sponsored by Transverse Insurance Group and backed by a panel of global reinsurers.
The $30 million premium capacity programme allows Neptune to meet growing demand for its flood insurance alternative to the government backed NFIP programme. It was placed through Acrisure Re, the carrier formerly Beach & Associates. Neptune policies placed with the programme will carry Transverse’s A- rating from AM Best.
The programme will look to protect approximately $10 billion in home and business value from the catastrophic risk of flooding. Hurricane season begins on May 15, with the record number of storms recorded in 2020 putting the market on high alert.
