THCF fundholders have awarded 342 scholarships totaling $467,044 to 240 area students to help alleviate some of the financial burdens of higher education.
We currently provide six training opportunities: medical coding and billing, welding, certified nurse assistant, phlebotomy, construction, and materials handling. So in just a few short weeks or months, adult learners can be fully trained and ready to start work.
Talk with UCM Workforce Expert About Your Career Goals June 29
Interested adults are invited to participate in a one-on-one session with a workforce expert at the University of Central Missouri’s Professional Training and Education Open House, scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. June 29 in a friendly Zoom environment.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their career goals while learning timely information about both training and scholarship opportunities. UCM hosts monthly open house events on the last Tuesday of each month to help adult learners connect to recognized training programs.
Thanks to a partnership with the Full Employment Council, qualifying individuals are able to receive debt-free tuition assistance. Additional debt-free scholarship opportunities are available to qualifying individuals through a community initiative through Truman Heartland Community Foundation.
