Puppy Found With 70 Shotgun Pellets Lodged in Her Body, Recovering Thanks to Humane Society
Veterinarians also noted injuries consistent with being hit by a car.
Fortunately, the 9-month-old retriever, who has been dubbed “Tammi,” is well on her way to recovery. The Humane Society is searching for a home for her, and they’re hopeful she’ll have a new forever family in time for the holidays.
“Tammi needs a fun-loving and caring home,” Dr. Traci Gilbert, SAHS associate veterinarian, said in a statement on Facebook. “Considering everything she went through, she is such a sweet girl. She is young and a bit shy, but I am sure she would love an active family once she gets her strength back.”
