Light the Way with us on Old College Lawn from Monday, May 3, through Thursday, May 6, from 5-8 p.m. each day. This event will celebrate each student as a member of our UD community, provide an opportunity to reflect on major accomplishments over the last year, sign the class banner and look forward to next steps as a Blue Hen. Delawareans 16 and older now eligible for vaccinations: All Delawareans 16 and older including all UD students, whether or not they are permanent residents of Delaware are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination at pharmacies, community vaccination sites and mass vaccination events hosted by the state. The University urges all students to get the vaccine when it is available to them. Register on the stateâs COVID-19 vaccination waiting list at vaccinerequest.delaware.gov. Over the course of her 25 years and various positions at the University of Delaware, Mary Martin has always maintained an open-door policy for graduate students to stop in to see her at their convenience. Whether they are looking for guidance with their academic plans or finances, a friendly and empathetic person to talk with or any other kind of support, Martin has been there to listen and propose options for a solution to the problem. When Rita Rawal visited Martin, the current associate vice provost for graduate and professional education and associate dean of UDâs Graduate College, for the first time in January 2008, it changed her life forever.
