The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 157 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Tuesday, bringing the local total to 7,211.
Cases increased from 7,054 on Monday December 28th to 7,211 on Tuesday December 29th and 1,797 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
The Health Unit says 16 cases are outbreak related, and 141 cases are still being investigated.

They say 5,285 people locally have recovered (an increase of 62 recoveries today).
As of Tuesday, the Health Unit is reporting two new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the local death toll to 129. The Health Unit says a man in his 70s from long-term care and a woman in her 70s from the community, passed away.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 141 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County as of Thursday, bringing the local total to 6,464.
Cases increased from 6,323 on Wednesday December 23rd to 6,464 on Thursday December 24th and 1,290 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 33 cases are outbreak related, 6 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 1 cases are community acquired, and 101 cases are still being investigated.
They say 5,060 people locally have recovered (an increase of 147 recoveries today).
As of Thursday, the Health Unit is reporting nine new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the local death toll to 114. The Health Unit says:
As of Thursday morning, there are 97 cases in residents and 67 in staff.

Both the hospital and Schlegel, with the support of the Ministry of Long-Term Care and Ontario Health, have identified several priorities, and the HDGH team plans to respond as quickly as possible to start identifying and assisting the Village with their needs.

Cases increased from 6,073 on Tuesday December 22nd to 6,323 on Wednesday December 23rd and 1,305 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
Wednesday’s 250 new cases is another new record number of daily cases for Windsor-Essex. The previous record was 243 new cases on December 18th.

The Health Unit says 32 cases are outbreak related, 13 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 6 cases are community acquired, and 199 cases are still being investigated.
