9 New Deaths, 141 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex On Thursday

Last updated: Thursday December 24th, 10:31am The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 141 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County as of Thursday, bringing the local total to 6,464. Cases increased from 6,323 on Wednesday December 23rd to 6,464 on Thursday December 24th and 1,290 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex. They say 5,060 people locally have recovered (an increase of 147 recoveries today). As of Thursday, the Health Unit is reporting nine new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the local death toll to 114. Cases increased from 6,073 on Tuesday December 22nd to 6,323 on Wednesday December 23rd and 1,305 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex. Wednesday’s 250 new cases is another new record number of daily cases for Windsor-Essex. The previous record was 243 new cases on December 18th.
