Keswick pub landlords in the Lake District face eviction

THE landlord of a popular Lake District pub has hit out at a brewery after it announced it would not be renewing leases of several tenants. Marstons has taken the decision not to renew any of the Jennings Pub leases and will take over the running Oddfellows Arms, The George Hotel, The Bank Tavern, the Twa Dogs in Keswick and the Royal Oak in Braithwaite. The landlord of the Oddfellows Arms, Carl Maloney, has hit out at the company after the news came without warning. He said: It has completely broke us. We ve been here for two generations since 1982. We had no warning whatsoever.
