The collision, which occurred at around 5pm on Sunday, May 2, took place near to the Jurassic Roundabout on the A354. Dorset Police say it involved a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was reportedly taking evasive action to avoid a collision with a grey Ford Mondeo as both vehicles travelled north toward Dorchester. There was no direct contact between the two vehicles. The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, came off his bike and suffered an injury to his wrist.
A MAJOR Dorset road was closed due to a crash where a vehicle reportedly went into a ditch. The A31 westbound near to the Merley Bird roundabout, Wimborne, was closed earlier today as a vehicle reportedly came off the road and went into a ditch. The road was closed while emergency services are at the scene. Traffic between Bere Regis and Ringwood was affected. A spokesman for Dorset Police said: We were called at 11.19am to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A31 westbound near to the Merley Bird roundabout. The collision involved a Mini Countryman and an Audi Q7.
