25th annual Great Mushroom Hunt returns Saturday

OSSEO The 25th Annual Osseo Heritage Day & Great Mushroom Hunt returns to Osseo this year on Saturday, May 8.
The annual event typically draws a large crowd of avid mushroom gatherers from the region during the very limited window in Michigan to find the elusive morel mushrooms.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday in uptown Osseo and ends at 1 p.m.
At 9 a.m. Tom Nauman of Morel Mania will give a presentation and take questions on the basics of hunting morel mushrooms.
Artist and crafter booths and the history exhibit will also open at 9 a.m.
