Vasu Ganti had been considering upgrading his familyâs Los Gatos, Calif., home to include a multipurpose space long before the pandemic. âWe were always thinking of decluttering and creating a space where I could play music loudly without disturbing others,â he said. Recent events, though, compelled Mr. Ganti to act with âgreater urgency,â he said.
Mr. Ganti, an engineering manager, and his family found the solution they were looking for in a luxury shed. Located on their property but apart from the main home, it creates separation and privacy. Mr. Ganti is just one of many shed converts who has looked to the secondary structure not as a quick fix-it but an expansion of their home.
