With performances from Coldplay and The Weeknd, the event will see the biggest names in the industry reunite for the first live event since the coronavirus pandemic hit the UK.
Eighteen professionals affiliated with Den Atelier are sharing their perspectives on how the pandemic has impacted the music industry and their own lives with Delano and Paperjam. They all answer a different question each week in a series called “What’s that sound”.
Question 2: Is there any governmental help/funding that helps you to get through? How long will you be able to carry on in the current situation?
Steffen Rabe, a booker with FKP Scorpio, who lives in Germany and has worked with Amanda Palmer, Pond and Gov’t Mule: “Our human resources handles all this. There are grants available from state and federal [governments] but it depends in company sizes.”

Tom O Dell says the return of the 17-year cicadas is an unusual wildlife event he hopes people can appreciate and not be too anxious about what will happen. He doesn t expect the cicadas to cause any significant damage and says they are no harm to humans as they don t bite or sting. He says he has seen a few around already but says the warm weather will cause that number to increase, and they will soon emerge in parts of southeastern Michigan and in a handful of other states in the eastern half of the country, after developing underground for 17 years.
