Subscriber only Anger over a noisy bike and an excessive response to a perceived threat landed a Suffolk Park man in trouble with the law. Leon Geoffrey Murray, 41, faced Byron Bay Local Court on Monday to be sentenced for a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The court heard Murray took issue with another man s loud revving of a motorbike at the Shell service station in Suffolk Park on the afternoon of July 26 last year. The court heard he verbally conftonted the man before punching him twice. The motorcyclist suffered a cut lip, sore jaw, chipped teeth and soreness to his spine.

Jess McNally, who has been with NOVA Entertainment since 2016, comes across as senior producer for the program to cover Lucy Polkinghome’s parental leave.
McNally has held various roles at NOVA Entertainment including senior campaign development manager and in programming as part of network special projects.
In 2019 she became a producer on
Matt, Sarah & Matty J, and for the past year she has been the Breakfast producer over on Nova stablemate smoothfm.
Senior producer Nikolinai Koevska is also on parental leave.

Subscriber only A court order suppressing all details of a troubling North Coast court case has been eased. Mystery had surrounded the case against three people charged with taking or detaining schoolteacher Anthony Stott at a Cudgera Creek property on the Tweed Coast, since a non-publication order covering all details of the case was imposed last May. Police will allege Mr Stott was detained at a rural property before he was fatally struck by a truck on the Pacific Highway nearby on the morning of February 10 last year. Mr Stott was allegedly struck by the semi-trailer about 7am.
