It has never ceased to surprise me that those who profit at the expense of others are so unaware of the harm suffered by those they exploit, and are so convinced that they have a right to do the exploiting and that their profit is a proper and justifiable reward . 4 days ago The government’s recent housing package may work; will it do enough? Trick Question: Does New Zealand have a capital gains tax on housing? If you ask the Prime Minister she will say not. It is true that her government is increasing the scope of the ‘bright-line test’ on non-family homes to .

Here are a few excerpts from the article that is, in xanthe s opinion total crap! IMHO these excerpts indicate the article is not total crap. On masks, lockdown, managed isolation and a centralised Public Health Agency, he has lobbied for new and more innovative measures to fight Covid-19 and ultimately succeeded in getting the Government on-side. Perhaps his greatest achievement, however, was convincing the Government to go for elimination. It was so easy to turn the tap off. They finally regulated the allowable levels of Campylobacter in chicken and our rates halved in three months. It reminded me that regulation and strong government is often what you need. I thought the industry was just doing what it was allowed to do but actually it was government that was asleep at the wheel.

It s sweet. I Got here 3/9 and all okay, so far. The area is pretty depressed and ripe for some government intervention investment, but I guess in a relatively isolated small community of 5000, it s easier to pay the benefit than do the hard work. Personally it s been a fantastic move. My house is on a 1/4 acre section, all paid for, so feel blessed I only have to pay utilities and rates (even if the $3600pa is way more than in Hamilton). Still pinch myself a couple of times a day, like when out on the deck and looking up, having forgotten the mountain ranges were there, or even just having a deck to sit on in the first place – I m easily pleased.
