Connor Schoen, of Westborough, and Tony Shu, of Wellesly, have been named Forbes 30 Under 30 for Social Impact.
The two met as undergraduates at Harvard and co-founded Breaktime with a mission to end young adult homelessness.
Through purposeful transitional employment, Breaktime empowers young adults experiencing homelesness to build sustainability in their own lives while building resilience in their communities.
Over the past several months, Schoen and Shu expanded Breaktime to address the food insecurity crisis that exponentially increased as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this time, Breaktime has employed 25 young adults experiencing homelessness who have served more than 550,000 meals to vulnerable populations throughout Greater Boston.
