Photographer Tony Fisher encountered both aspects as he gathered material for his latest exhibition Only The Lonely?
His collection of 30 photographs, which are now on show at the Peak District Mining Museum in Matlock Bath, were taken before and during the pandemic and will continue to evolve until April next year under his Arts Council funded project.

BBC Essex has introduced a new local late show presented by Tony Fisher.
Tony will is now on-air Monday to Thursday weeknights between 10pm and 1am having started this week, with Fridays continuing to be presented by Nick Risby.
Nick hosts the show Monday to Friday across the Eastern region and will continue to do this.
Also from this week, the local BBC Radio station becomes one of the only stations in England to reportedly have an all-female lineup on the Breakfast show seven days a week.
Based in Chelmsford, BBC Essex will be presented by local presenters for 110 hours a week.

Two parish councillors who did not attend meetings for a year due to their inability or unwillingness to use Zoom have lost their seats.
Strensall Parish Council, in York, had used the video-conferencing app since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
But Raymond Maher and Dennis Baxter had failed to take part, the council said. Unfortunately they are just not tech-savvy, as it were , said chairman Tony Fisher, leaving colleagues with no choice but to disqualify them.
It is a legal requirement for members to attend meetings, and the authority s rules state failure to join a session for six months without an acceptable excuse is grounds for disqualification.
