Less popular was the decision to close the town s tourist information centre at the town hall. West Norfolk council replaced it with an un-staffed tourist information point in the Old Coal Shed on LeStrange Terrace. Hundreds signed a petition against the move, organised by the town s civic society.

A seaside town has paid tribute to Prince Philip with a two-minutes silence and wreath laying ceremony.
Following the announcement of the Duke of Edinburgh’s death on Friday, April 9, communities across Norfolk and Waveney have been paying their respects.
The mayor of Hunstanton, Tony Bishop laid a wreath on the cross at The Green in the town on Sunday morning supported by councillors Carol Bower and Paul Beal along with members of Hunstanton Town Council.
Hunstanton Men s Shed now homeless as they appeal for new meeting place

The Hunstanton Menâs Shed group, which has been operating for over a year, is now appealing for a new meeting place as works begin on the new library complex, rendering them âhomelessâ.
The organisation, which boasts up to 44 members, has been a vital hub for men suffering from loneliness and mental health issues.
Founder Chris Ellis, who set up the group last year, is concerned about finding a new meeting place as lockdown eases.
