ROME, Ga. A court clerk has found himself on the other side of the law after police recently charged him with DUI following a crash.
A report from Rome Police on April 27 describes the moments after an officer arrived to find Polk County s chief probate court clerk, Charles Bradley Shelton, standing outside his wrecked vehicle. The truck was hanging from an embankment according to the report.

Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit District Attorney Jack Browning announced Thursday that Ralph âRyanâ Dover III was indicted on charges of felony hit and run and reckless conduct. House Majority Whip Trey Kelley, who represents District 16, was indicted for reckless conduct.
Keais, who was riding a bicycle, was struck and killed on the night of Sept. 11, 2019, on Main Street just north of Cedartown.
