Cognizant Buys Australian Analytics Firm Servian January 12 2021 IT and business process consultancy Cognizant has acquired Sydney, Australia-based enterprise data and analytics consulting firm Servian. Terms were not disclosed. Servian, which also has offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart, as well as in India, the UK and New Zealand, offers digital transformation services using analytics, AI, experience design and a range of other digital services and technologies to develop clients own data assets. Following the acquisition, Servian s more than 500 technology and consulting professionals, led by founder and CEO Tony Nicol (pictured) and based primarily in Australia and New Zealand, will join Cognizant, doubling the size of the latter s Cloud and Data team in ANZ. According to Cognizant, the deal will help clients move to the cloud, build digital products and services, unlock value from data, and modernize enterprise applications.

By siliconindia  |  Tuesday, 12 January 2021, 03:56 Hrs Information technology company Cognizant on Monday announced to acquire Linium, a cloud transformation consultancy group its second acquisition in a single day after acquiring Servian, an Australia-based, enterprise transformation consultancy firm specialising in data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital services and Cloud. Including the two fresh acquisitions, Cognizant has announced 11 acquisitions in the past 12 months an aggregate investment of approximately $1.4 billion in its strategic digital focus areas of cloud, data and artificial intelligence, digital engineering and Internet of Things. Completing the Linium transaction will further accelerate Cognizant s cloud strategy, marking the company s seventh cloud-related acquisition since January 2020.
