United Way of Berks County to run Leadership Berks

A program aimed at growing civic engagement in Berks County will be run by the United Way starting with the beginning of the new year. Management of Leadership Berks, an initiative dedicated to developing, supporting and connecting community leaders, will be transferred from the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance. GRCA took over the leadership program last year, cobranding it with Alvernia University, which had previously hosted the program since 2009. - Advertisement - “We are thrilled to welcome Leadership Berks to the United Way family of programs,” Tammy White, president of United Way of Berks County, said in a news release. “This is a full-circle moment as United Way served as one of the program’s founding members.”
