Hospice Muskoka s Exeucitive Director retiring; says it s time for a changing of the guard

SHARE ON: Executive Director of Hospice Muskoka Sandra Winspear will be retiring at the end of the month (Photo credit: Hospice Muskoka s website) Now that Hospice Muskoka’s Executive Director Sandra Winspear has gotten Andy’s House started, she’s ready to retire after 25 years at the helm. “A few years ago, I couldn’t even imagine retiring at any time because I loved my work so much and the people I worked with,” she tells the MyMuskokaNow.com newsroom. “I’m well past retirement age,” she jokes. “It’s time for a changing of the guard.” Donna Kearney will take over Winspear’s role as Executive Director when she retires on April 30th. She previously served as the Nurse Practitioner and Director of Andy’s House. “I can say quite honestly and most sincerely that Hospice is in good hands,” Winspear says.

Courtesy of Naperville Noon Lions Club   Updated 12/13/2020 6:22 PM In what was thought to be a very difficult year due to COVID-19, the Naperville Noon Lions Club have completed a successful annual raffle and virtual 5K Turkey Trot thanks to the support of the citizens of Naperville and surrounding communities. On Dec. 1, state Rep. Grant Wehrli was on hand to draw the winning raffle tickets from 3,000 tickets sold. Between Nov. 14 and Nov. 29, over 1,350 runners ran the course of their choice with many of them running on Thanksgiving morning.
