Toronto police bust huge stunt driving event on first night of provincial shutdown

A large group of Toronto stunt driving enthusiasts literally set the streets of North York on fire this weekend in an apparent bid to look cool, filming themselves doing donuts amid the blaze in defiance of both provincial lockdown rules and multiple regular laws.
The incident started around 2:25 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to Toronto Police, at McNicoll Avenue and Placer Court (a location these groups have been known to frequent in the past.)

Flywheels (or rotors) spin at very high rates (up to 50,000 revolutions per minute), typically in a vacuum so air friction doesn t slow them down. Power is stored as kinetic energy by using a motor to accelerate the flywheels, and energy can be discharged by reversing the process so the flywheel drives a motor or some other electrical generation device.
While this can happen very quickly compared to other types of energy storage, flywheels are not good for long-term storage, but work well to balance supply and demand on a short-term basis.

The Toronto Zoo says keepers saw ‘Baby Red’ Adira and her father Suva playing with each other for the first time.
The zoo tweeted out a video of the red pandas on Tuesday, saying while the two have been cohabitating, this sighting was the first time they’ve witnessed the animals playing together.
Sadly,
Adira’s mother Ila passed away in November, after suffering from severe ulcerative colitis, the zoo said. Adira’s sister died a week after the pair of female cubs were born in July.
