Police charge three with drug trafficking offences

Three people, including two individuals from southern Ontario, were arrested following a traffic stop and investigation into drug-trafficking activity Tuesday morning.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were in the area near Donald Street West and Frontenac Street just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2 when they observed a motorist in a sedan failing to stop at a stop sign.
A traffic stop was conducted without incident. When police approached the vehicle they observed signs the female driver and her two passengers were possibly involved in drug-trafficking activity.

A 31 year old from Thunder will be back in court to answer to drug-trafficking charges.
The charges stem from a stop at approximately 6:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Donald Street West and Frontenac Street area.
Police raided the vehicle and obtained crack cocaine, cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug use.
A 40 year old Barrie woman and a 38 year old Brampton man also face charges.
The Thunder Bay woman was released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
