Giving, taking relaxed transfer rules Texas Tech football has been both hurt and helped by the relaxed NCAA transfer rules.
The landscape of college football has seen some dramatic changes in recent years, most notably from the NCAA relax the rules with regard to transfers of athletes. Texas Tech Head coach Matt Wells seems to be making the most of this, but it also had its downsides to the Red Raider football program.
One of the latest transfers to announce his arrival in Lubbock is arguably the biggest yet. Offensive tackle TJ Storment, who garnered All-Big 12 honors at TCU last season, is a great addition for a Texas Tech offensive line that struggled at times in 2020. He will solidify the left tackle spot and help the coaching staff figure out who will start at the other spots on the offensive line.

With the Senior Bowl now in the books and just two teams the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers yet to find out their first-round draft slot, Mock Draft Season has officially begun.
This mock draft is more of a reflection of what I believe each team should do with their first-round picks rather than an exercise in trying to predict the future, which is a futile exercise if there ever was one. Still, I did try my hand at predicting several trades toward the top of the draft, namely finding a new team for Deshaun Watson and a fresh start at quarterback for the Houston Texans.

Since being named Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager in 2014, Jason Licht has spent 16 of his 49 draft picks on prospects who played in the annual Senior Bowl. 17, if you include linebacker
Kendell Beckwith, who accepted an invitation to the game before tearing his ACL and not participating.
It s fair to assume that Licht will do so again in 2021. The Buccaneers have drafted a prospect that performs in Mobile, Ala. every year that Licht has been in his position as GM.
The Senior Bowl provides the nation s top upper-class talent with one final opportunity to impress scouts in football pads and in the interview room before the NFL Combine, which was effectively canceled this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Senior Bowl game itself proved to be exciting, ending in a 27-24 victory for the National team (coached by the Miami Dolphins staff) over the American team (Carolina Panthers staff).

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Construction of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers began long before Tom Brady decided the once-downtrodden team had most of what he needed to have an opportunity to build on his legacy of championships.
