Woman who stabbed former boyfriend gets prison term

Maisha Davis, 38, of Lima, was sentenced to two years in prison Thursday for stabbing a former boyfriend last November. Due to extenuating circumstances in the case, the judge said she would “strongly consider” issuing a judicial release for Davis after the woman has served six months in prison.

LIMA A Lima woman who stabbed her former boyfriend was sentenced Thursday morning to two years in prison.
Due to extenuating circumstances surrounding the case, however, Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Terri Kohlrieser made it clear to Maisha Davis that she would be eligible to request an early release from prison in six months, and that her request would be given serious consideration.

LIMA A Lima woman who prosecutors say stabbed her former boyfriend multiple times pleaded guilty Wednesday in Allen County Common Pleas Court to a second-degree felony charge of felonious assault.
Prosecutors dismissed a second felonious assault charge and a misdemeanor count of criminal damaging or endangering against Maisha Davis in return for her plea. The woman faces up to 12 years in prison when she is sentenced April 8.
