The Diamondbacks Minor League affiliates combined to a 1-3 record. Hillsboro was the only team that was able to pull off the win with some very lopsided scores along the way. Brandon Pfaadt was the only notable pitching prospect that took the mound.

Reno didn’t put up much of a fight in this one, trailing from beginning to end. Scott Kazmir stymied the Reno lineup for 6 innings, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk. Reno did get a pair of doubles from Andrew Young and Drew Ellis, but the team collectively went 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position. On the pitching side, Humberto Mejia would allow 4 runs in 3 innings. Brandyn Sittinger and West Tunnell would each allow 2 runs in their outing.

The Diamondbacks Minor League affiliates combined for a 2-1 record. Reno had the day off, which likely played in the decision to activate Ketel Marte. Amarillo and Visalia both had walk-off wins with the former needing 12 innings to get the job done.

This game didn’t feature a lot of offense, but Amarillo was able to pull it out in the end. Tyler Holton started the game and allowed only 1 hit and struck out 8 in 4 scoreless innings.
