2021 Schedule Roundtable: Biggest Challenge for Bucs Defense Roundtable Week continues as Carmen Vitali, Casey Phillips and Scott Smith discuss the Rams, Bills and Falcons and the toughest test for Tampa Bay s defense on the 2021 schedule May 19, 2021 at 08:00 AM Copied!
Last fall, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers headed into what would prove to be an unforgettable 2020 season, they faced a schedule loaded with some of the best quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. That included Drew Brees (twice), Aaron Rodgers and 25-year-old wunderkind Patrick Mahomes. Thanks to Brees s retirement and rotating divisional matchups, none of those passers are on Tampa Bay s schedule in 2021.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers The NFL s 2021 schedule is out and this week Bucs fans have questions regarding that season, such as practice squad rules, formidable opponents and the Bucs offensive backfield Scott Smith
Ryan Fitzpatrick, now a member of the Washington Football Team after two years in Miami, will start at quarterback for his ninth NFL team this fall, presumably. He already holds the record among quarterbacks with starts for eight teams, a list that includes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before Miami and after (deep breath) the Rams, Bengals, Bills, Titans, Texans and Jets, Fitzpatrick stopped in Tampa for the 2017-18 seasons and started 10 games.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Improving coach Sean McVay s offense has been among the Los Angeles Rams top offseason goals.
That became apparent when the Rams completed a blockbuster trade two weeks after a divisional playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers. Quarterback Jared Goff, two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick were shipped to Detroit in exchange for Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Then in free agency, the Rams signed veteran receiver DeSean Jackson to a one-year, $4.5 million deal, reuniting McVay with one of his top weapons when he served as offensive coordinator in Washington.
And finally, with their first pick in the NFL draft, the Rams selected speedy Louisville receiver Tutu Atwell in the second round.

With the increase in the use of two TE sets last season for the Los Angeles Rams, the tight end position has gained more value in head coach Sean McVay’s offense.
Gone are the days when the Rams lined up in three-receiver sets virtually every play during the tenure of McVay. Over the past two years, McVay has focused more on building diversity in personnel groupings and formations from snap to snap, forcing defenses to adjust more each week.

With Austin Blythe moving on in free agency, center is the most obvious need for the Los Angeles Rams with a little over a week before the start of this year’s draft.
Of course, the Rams do not have a first-round selection. Brian Allen is penciled in as the starter for the Rams at center heading into the draft, but he has not played in two years due to a knee injury that required surgery.
The Rams don’t necessarily have to select a center with their top pick in the second round because the draft is deep at interior offensive line, according to NFL draft analysts. But they likely should get a young developmental prospect in the fold by Day 2 of the draft.
