Here in Amarillo our own kings of smoke Tyler Frazier who makes the list of Texas Monthly s bbq top 50 frequently or former mayoral candidate Michael Hunt who smokes up some good cue downtown. The BBQ capitol of the world happens to be in Texas! (Lockhart IS worth the trip, It s a 30 min boot scoot southeast of Austin on US183) For crying out loud we re in cattle country here in the Panhandle where do you think all them packer briskets come from? There are even schools that host BBQ as competitive sports. YES there is a state championship even. BBQ is in our DNA here in the lone star state.

RICHMOND â Officials with the Richmond Police Department confirmed Wednesday that two officers have received disciplinary action after it was alleged they were engaging in sexual activity while on duty.
According to Assistant Chief of Police, Rodney Richardson, the matter is under investigation within the police department.
Major Rodney Tudor, who is implicated in the incidents, resigned from his position effective Feb. 12.
Additionally, senior Officer Emily Faulkner also has received disciplinary action that was approved by the Richmond City Commission on Tuesday night.

After an executive session at the end of their regular meeting, the commission approved Resolution 21-03 â an order of discipline for Faulkner which included 10 days unpaid suspension, one-year probation with zero tolerance, and a letter of reprimand.

Under the theme: “Track is Back,” the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations hosted its first track and field meet since the coronavirus pandemic broke out in March.
The BAAA, in closing out what has been a dramatic year of postponements and cancellations of various local and international sporting events, staged the Odd Distance Track and Field Meet at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium on Saturday.
“We’ve been planning for the COVID-19 environment since the lockdown and we recognised very early that certain things had to be in place,” said BAAA president Drumeco Archer. “We’ve been in communication with the Competent Authority, giving them the assurance that we could do this and we could do this well.”
