The Tyler Police Department has provided an update to their investigation into a gunfight that took place on Friday night (June 25) that took the life of 46 year old Tylsha Brown and injured 2 others.
According to post the Tyler PD Facebook page, police are searching for 22 year old Dycorrian Wayne Lofton of Jacksonville, Texas and they have obtained an arrest warrant for murder.
According to the original report, Tyler Police officers responded to New Orleans Flavors Daiquiris at 3709 Troup Hwy on Friday night at 11:30 pm after receiving reports of a shooting. Witnesses stated that several people had been shot and there were multiple shooters.

TYLER, Texas A shooting on Friday night cost one Texas woman her life.
Tylsha Brown was ringing in her 46th birthday at New Orleans Flavors Daiquiris in Tyler. Her cousin, Brittney Roberts, says Brown was the type of person you could call on for anything.
After a shooting broke out at the restaurant, Roberts was the one who got a call. Brown had been shot.
“I was blank, she recalled. Like, I began asking some questions like, no, is she okay? Is she going to the hospital? Where did she get shot? Does anybody know anything? But you know, at the moment, nobody knew nothing.”
It always sickens me when an innocent person loses their life because of other people feeling the need to brandish firearms to settle disputes. Folks are going out to celebrate life and end up losing their life for something that s more than likely senseless. One such incident occurred this weekend in Tyler.

Witnesses stated that a disturbance occurred in the parking lot and people began shooting.
