HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - The victim of a deadly motorcycle crash in the Grand Strand has been identified.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler said 33-year-old Kathryn Leddy, of Surfside Beach, died in a wreck on Jan. 12 along Highway 544 near Glenmere Drive.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said troopers were called to the crash at around 6:15 p.m. that night. LCpl. Tyler Tidwell said a Harley-Davidson was traveling east on the highway when a Subaru heading west tried to make a left-hand turn onto Glenmere Drive before both collided.

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a person was killed while crossing a road in Orangeburg County Wednesday night.
The crash happened at 7:10 p.m. on North Road near Willington Drive, Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said.
Troopers say a person crossing North Road was struck by a 2020 Toyota sedan that was traveling west on the roadway.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released by the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office, died at the scene, Tidwell said.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department confirmed Wednesday afternoon it has terminated an officer accused of driving under the influence and other charges.
Edward Jerome Clemens was charged with driving under the influence by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and leaving the scene of an accident by the Moncks Corner Police Department.
North Charleston Deputy Police Chief Scott Deckard said his agency terminated Clemens, who had served as an officer with NCPD for five years.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Coronerâs Office says a 16-year-old died Monday in a head-on collision.
Matthew Eric Thornton, of Ruffin, was killed in the crash on Highway 17 Alternate near Clubhouse Road, approximately 10 miles south of Summerville, Coroner Paul Brouthers said.
