DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a portion of Highway 17A was blocked for hours after crews worked to clear the scene of a deadly crash.
The crash happened on Highway 17A just before Clubhouse Road at 8:42 a.m., Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said.
The crash involves a dump truck and a 1995 Fort Thunderbird, he said. The dump truck was going northbound on Highway 17A when the Thunderbird, traveling soutbound, crossed the center line and struck the dump truck head on.

BAMBERG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an early morning crash that killed one person.
Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said the crash is believed to have happened between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Monday on U.S. 21 at S.C. 61 in Bamberg County.
Tidwell said the driver of a 2011 Ford Fiesta was traveling North on U.S. 21, ran off the road and struck a bridge guardrail.

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - One person is dead following a crash in Darlington County, according to authorities.
Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 10 p.m. Saturday on Rhodes Community Road near Bryant Street.
Tidwell said a vehicle, believed to be a 1999 Dodge Ram, was traveling east when it ran off the road, struck a tree and a ditch before overturning and catching on fire.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - One person is dead after a wreck involving an ATV in Georgetown County.
Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Big Dam Swamp Road near Big Lake Drive.
Tidwell said only a Cushman ATV and a Ford F-150 were both traveling south on Big Dam Swamp Road at the time of the incident. He added that the rider of the ATV was traveling southbound in a northbound lane, but was hit by the truck while attempting to get back in the correct lane.

THe crash happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Big Dam Swamp Road near Big Lake Drive, Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said.
Troopers say a 1998 Ford F-150 and a Cushman ATV were both traveling south on Big Dam Swamp Road, but say the ATV was traveling south in the northbound lanes.
