RALEIGH A Fayetteville man was sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison Wednesday in the December 2018 armed robbery of a Morganton Road gas station.
Tyler Kador, 23, pleaded guilty July 30 to aiding and abetting the interference with commerce by robbery and aiding and abetting the brandishing of a firearm in a crime of violence. In addition to an active prison term of 130 months, Kador must also serve five years of supervised release.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Kador was armed with a firearm when he and Morgan Ward, 24, entered the Exxon, 3800 Morganton Road, about 11 p.m. Dec. 9, 2018, and confronted the female clerk at the counter.
