Wisconsin s Most Wanted: Ismael Moreno sought by US Marshals
Wisconsin s Most Wanted: Ismael Moreno
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force is asking the public for any information that can lead to the arrest of 17-year-old Ismael Moreno.
MILWAUKEE - A life with so much promise, gone far too soon. Purcell Pearson was a 22-year-old graduate of UW Whitewater.
Pearson was crowned campus homecoming king and served as president of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Mentors say Pearson studied psychology and aspired to help people struggling with mental illness.
Authorities now say that promising future was stolen on Feb. 6 when he was shot and killed near 22nd and Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Prosecutors say it was at the hands of two teenagers both charged with first-degree reckless homicide party to a crime.
Those alleged buyers, Tyrell Joseph and Ismael Moreno, both 17, were in a van when Pearson met them outside. The van began driving away with Pearson hanging out of the driver’s side window right before he was shot, according to prosecutors. The two drove away as Pearson fell to the ground.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Joseph and Moreno who remain at large. They are charged with first-degree reckless homicide and if convicted could face up to 60 years in prison. Court records do not list an attorney for either defendant.
