Meanwhile, the Tahoe area is bracing for a blizzard that could dump seven feet of fresh powder at higher elevations.

Emergency agencies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area dispatched teams Tuesday morning (Jan. 19) to extinguish vegetation fires, clear fallen trees and assist with power outages following hazardous wind conditions overnight. In Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View, gusts reached up to approximately 29 mph.
