After the Center For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that fully vaccinated people can resume all normal activities they did prior to the pandemic, Major League Baseball (MLB) and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) announced that fans will no longer be required to wear a mask inside stadiums. The River Bandits, being a part of MiLB, are also dropping all face covering requirements and will allow fans to sit in the first few rows which were originally setup as a buffer zone.
In a press release on Thursday following the CDC s updated guidelines for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the River Bandits announced that face covering requirements will be lifted effective immediately. The press release said,
A proposed ordinance change that would make it easier for brick-and-mortar retailers to host outside vendors has been recommended by Bedford Borough Councilâs ordinance committee.
Councilman Patrick Neff, chairman of the committee, said during the boroughâs meeting Monday night that the three-member committee is in favor of allowing retailers to host vendor events without the need for each vendor to acquire a transient retail license.
âI know from my conversations with the rest of the committee, we all want to make it possible,â Neff said. âSo if we have to change the ordinances, we want to do that.â
Olde Bedford Brewing Company joins 19 other veteran-owned breweries in Pennsylvania for a statewide Memorial Day beer release.
âAdapt and Overcomeâ will be a light drinking hazy IPA with a release scheduled for Memorial Day weekend at all of the participating breweries.
âThe Pennsylvania Brewer Association every year does a veterans beer,â said Dave Heller of OBBC. âAny brewery that is veteran owned gets to contribute to it.â
According to Heller, the beer will be available in kegs and cans.
There are more than 350,000 veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard living in Pennsylvania.
The state has become a national leader in craft beer, with breweries ranging from small brewpubs, to expanding franchises to larger production breweries.
