A new contract has been reached for Occasional high school teachers employed by the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
It’s a three year deal that dates back to September, 2019 and expires at the end of August, 2022.
Both parties have ratified the agreement.

Occasional teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have ratified a new deal.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Union North Shield Occasional Teachers Bargaining Unit has reached a three year deal with the public school board.
The agreement expires on August 31st, 2022, and is effective starting of September of 2019.
Dave Rhind is president of the union and says it was very challenging to reach the deal because everything, including the vote by occasional teachers, had to be done virtually.
