It s Time to Open the Astral Gates on Devil In A Silk Dress : Pressparty

An all-familiar tale of a tantalizing woman who uses what she needs to get exactly what she wants, the supercharged rock hit “Devil In A Silk Dress” is told in a way only Astral Gates can. A heart-thumping anthem to the jezebel that fooled ‘us all,’ its lyrics spell out a defiant notion that we won’t fall prey to her trap which is both equally worth rooting for as it is a knowing grin that this scarlet letter will charm her way into your arms, whether you like it or not. The supercharged dance-rock and sure-fire hit is the result of coworkers Evan Falcone and Dan D’Urbano; formed in 2020, the duo were quickly defined by their innate song writing prowess and equally enchanting production ultimately coming together after a myriad of other meetings on their plate.

The Damn Truth: naked beginnings and arena-sized ambition

Montreal-based four-piece The Damn Truth certainly believe so. The band – imagine a fledgling Led Zeppelin fronted by Janis Joplin – are, in their own words, “rock’n’roll hippies”, ardent adherents to those starry-eyed late-60s ideals, of music’s power to spread peace and good vibes.  “Touring around the world for the four years up to 2020, you get to meet so many different people, and if there is one thing that unites us all it’s hope and love,” explains guitarist Tom Shemer. “I believe that love can solve a lot of these problems that we are having today.”
