Leeds, Grenville and Lanark residents scrambled to book vaccine appointments on Wednesday as the provincial government expanded its eligibility to people aged 60 years and older.
Their experience in booking appointments was a mixed bag, with many people complaining that they were unable to get appointments anywhere in Leeds and Grenville. Others, however, reported a smooth procedure and they were able to book an appointment at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

Parson comments about Missouri House anti-Medicaid expansion funding effort
The Republican-controlled Missouri House of Representatives has given initial approval to defunding a Medicaid expansion effort approved by voters last year. The chamber could choose to use the governor’s $1.9 billion budget request for the expansion to instead help seniors in nursing homes, the developmentally disabled, expand mental health programs, add more public defenders, and for K-12 transportation costs.
