Compensation for Buccament Resort workers
The Buccament Bay Resort was deemed the flagship of tourism infrastructure on mainland St. Vincent.

Persons employed at the former Buccament Bay Resort up to the time of its closing in December 2016, are expected to begin receiving some level of financial compensation.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves said on WE FM on March 7 that there was an auction sale at the site of the former resort, and that a sum of money had been raised.
As recent as its issue of February 26, THE VINCENTIAN carried an advertisement of an Auction Sale at the site of the Buccament Bay Resort. The Sale included kitchen, restaurant, living room, bedroom, and spa related items, among other equipment and accessories.
