Spring 2021 FCS Playoffs: First-round games schedule, bracket

The spring 2021 FCS Playoffs are set to kickoff today with eight first-round games. The action begins at noon Eastern with the second-seed Sam Houston State Bearkats hosting the Monmouth Hawks.
The Spring 2021 FCS Playoff Schedule continues at 2:00pm ET with two more games Davidson Wildcats at fourth-seed Jacksonville State Gamecocks and VMI Keydets at third-seed James Madison Dukes.
At 3:00pm ET, the Holy Cross Crusaders travel to take on the top-seed South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Then at 3:30pm ET, the North Dakota State Bison play host to the Eastern Washington Eagles.

CONWAY, S.C. â Coastal Carolina sophomores Makenzie Pate, Eric Brown, and Cooper Weiss all homered on Friday while redshirt sophomore pitcher Jacob Maton pitched 5.0 strong innings as the Chanticleers blew out the Davidson Wildcats 15-5 in the final game of day one of the Baseball at the Beach tournament.
Maton (2-1) picked up his second-straight win, as the right-handed hurler overcame a first-batter solo home run to allow just one run on two hits and two walks while striking out a career-high seven batters over 5.0-complete innings.

DAVIDSON, N.C. After a 26-day hiatus due to COVID-19 protocols, the Davidson Wildcats cruised past Division III Southern Virginia 101-51 Friday afternoon in Belk Arena.
The Wildcats (11-5) scored 17 of the game’s first 20 points and never looked back while surpassing the century mark for the first time this season.
Kellan Grady led all scorers with 25 points. He hit four of his first five shots, including three from beyond the arc, and scored 11 of Davidson’s first 17 points. The senior guard finished 9-of-13 from the floor, including seven treys.
