Former Liberal Democrat MP Luciana Berger will join the Cazoo board as non-executive director and Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Committee chair.
Berger is currently managing director of advocacy and public affairs at Edelman UK, specialising in health, sustainability and energy policy.
She served as the member of parliament for Liverpool Wavertree for almost a decade and was the shadow minister for Energy and Climate Change, shadow minister for Public Health, shadow cabinet member for Mental Health between 2010 and 2016, and the Liberal Democrat shadow spokesperson for Health, Social Care and Wellbeing in 2019.
Alex Chesterman OBE, the founder and chief executive of Cazoo, said: “I am delighted that Luciana will be joining the Cazoo Board as the Chair of our ESG Committee once we become listed on the NYSE.

The two firms said their new working partnership means that if either operation was to be disrupted by an unforeseen event, such as a Covid-19 outbreak, a print job could be easily transferred to the other partner, ensuring minimal delay for the client.
The agreement also means that both organisations can collaborate when the opportunity arises, to offer a joined-up approach for tender opportunities. They said this would give them a wider range of services and increased firepower for greater security of supply.

Former HSBC UK head of financial crime compliance and money laundering reporting officer, Allan Clare, will help Plenitude execute its business strategy to keep up with the evolving financial crime landscape.
“Allan will play a key role in terms of guiding the business and providing strategic advice which will be invaluable,” managing director, Alan Paterson, said.
“This builds on our recent appointments of Barbara Patow and Shahmeem Purdasy and further demonstrates the calibre of our senior leadership team at Plenitude.”

Cazoo has appointed former Ocado chief financial officer Duncan Tatton-Brown and 23andMe founder and chief executive Anne Wojcicki to its board ahead of its £5bn public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.
The online car retail and vehicle subscription business, which announced its Q3 listing last month, will add both Tatton-Brown and Wojcicki as non-executive directors following the completion of its of a business combination with AJAX I.
Tatton-Brown, who will become senior independent director and audit committee chair at Cazoo, was most recently CFO of Ocado Group PLC from 2012 until 2020, where he remains a senior advisor to the board, and has also held CFO roles at PLCs Fitness First, Kingfisher, B&Q and Virgin Entertainment Group.
