NORTHFIELD, Ill., June 9, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Medline and Spectramed today announced an exclusive collaboration to optimize patient outcomes around the treatment of dysphagia, the difficulty of swallowing, and related muscle weakness. Medline will sell the company s therapy devices that utilize neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and surface electromyography (sEMG) combined with biofeedback to help individualize treatment for patients. Spectramed s offerings also provide an efficient 30-minute treatment protocol.
Medline is now partnering with Spectramed to distribute dysphagia therapy technology. The Guardian Aspire2 utilizes the power of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and surface electromyography (sEMG), combined with biofeedback, and has a 30-minute treatment.

CANANDAIGUA Officials from New York, Canandaigua and the Board of Directors at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park broke ground Friday for a new entrance and visitor center to the historic venue.
Estimated to be completed sometime in 2021, according to Sonnenberg Executive Director David Hutchings, the $6.1 million project will provide a new entrance for visitors, room for on-site archives, permanent offices for Sonnenberg staff, new maintenance facilities and enough parking for 140 cars.
Hutchings added that with this project and the $7.2 million in restoration done over his 15 years as executive director, we re returning the estate to its original position on the Finger Lakes, adding that it was a jewel of the region.
