Man arrested with loaded weapon outside of club (KPRC)
HOUSTON – A Houston-area man has been arrested and charged after officials allegedly found him outside of a club on Washington Avenue with an AR-15.
David Mena, 28, has been charged with attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the court document, on Monday, April 5, Mena got into an altercation inside Heart’s nightclub on Washington Ave.
After the fight, Mena allegedly left the nightclub and said he was going to get a gun and would return and shoot someone.

HOUSTON A 28-year-old man is facing a felony charge after authorities said he showed up at a Houston club with a loaded assault rifle on Monday.
David Mena, of Katy, is charged with attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to court documents, Mena got into an argument with someone at a club and told them he was leaving to get a gun and that he would be coming back to open fire.
He got a ride home, but once he got there, the person he got a ride from refused to drive him back, according to court documents. Mena is then accused of getting his AR-15 and going back to the club on his own. He was arrested with the loaded gun about a block away from the club, according to court records.

A 28-year-old Katy man was charged after deputies stopped him outside a Washington Avenue nightclub with an AR-15 assault rifle.
According to court records, David Mena, Jr. got into a fight with someone at Heart nightclub Sunday night. When he was escorted out, he threatened to go get a gun and return to shoot, according to investigators.
Court records obtained by Eyewitness News on Tuesday state an unnamed witness took him home and then refused to give him a ride back when he walked out with an AR-15.
