I often find the David Bowie/Queen song creeping into my head while driving these days. I am typically captaining our 2015 Subaru Outback to my daughter’s school, or to soccer practice, or to the grocery store, or the hardware store.you catch my drift. Cars 5 or 6 years old stick out like a sore thumb these days. The majority of automobiles on the road appear to be brand new, or darn close to it. The Killers Mr Brightside has set a new chart record, after spending 260 weeks - or five whole years - in the UK s Top 100.
No other song comes close. The second-longest-running chart hit is Snow Patrol s Chasing Cars, which has racked up 166 weeks in the countdown.
According to the Official Chart Company, Mr Brightside is streamed 1.2 million times a week on average, and has sold 3.52 million copies since it was first released in 2003.

That said I recently watched a longer clip on YouTube and faced 10 ad breaks averaging four minutes apart. Eventually the competitive platforms will grow as more and more opinions are suppressed by the giants. The previously cancelled Parler is back but some are questioning their longevity on a California
Jack Long had an interesting 2020. Like many, he was stuck inside as a lethal respiratory virus made its way around the world. But he had also developed an unhealthy taste for methamphetamine, a drug that can turn even the most career-minded among us into unemployed amateur PlayStation repairmen in six months or less.
No one jumps right into methamphetamine, of course. Long started down that road like any normal person weed, booze, Xanax, cocaine and then meth. It’s cheaper than cocaine, and the length of the high has to be measured in scientific notation. It s not for everyone and shouldn t be for anyone.
