LISLE, IL Downers Grove voters will head to the polls Tuesday, April 6, to cast their votes for mayor and village clerk. Voters will also choose new members for the Lisle Village Board of Trustees and Lisle Community Unit District 202 Board of Education.

Mayor of Lisle
As he runs for a second term, incumbent Mayor Christopher Chris R. Pecak faces challenges from current Lisle Village Trustees Sara Sadat and Stephen A. Winz in the 2021 consolidated election.
An Austrian court has found it legal for an animal rights protester to wear a cow mask despite a ban on face coverings, in a freedom of expression decision hailed by activists.
The Constitutional Court upheld the protester s complaint against his fine for handing out flyers in support of animal rights while wearing the mask in the town of Baden.
The man, named by the Association Against Animal Factories (VGT) as David Richter, had been trying in June 2018 to draw attention to conditions for animals in the dairy industry.
A statement from the court dated last week and seen by AFP on Wednesday, said an exception to the ban on full-face coverings should be made in cases where someone is exercising freedom of expression .

The North Dakota House passed legislation Tuesday that would allow the state’s higher-ed governance board to do the chancellor’s job review in executive session.
Job reviews for North Dakota University System’s leader are currently done during the public portion of meetings, while reviews for presidents are done in executive session.
