LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA Dozens of restaurants in Lower Merion Township have been awarded grant funding to help them get through the coronavirus pandemic.
More than 600 restaurants countywide have now received some $6 million total in funding.
Of those several hundred, 50 are in Lower Merion. Each received $10,000 through the program.

NORRISTOWN â Montgomery County officials have approved nearly $2 million in grants for county restaurants and food service businesses facing struggles during the coronavirus pandemic.
County Commissioner Kenneth E. Lawrence Jr. announced on Wednesday that 194 grants, totaling $1.94 million, have been approved as part of the first round of the 2021 Montco Strong Restaurant Grant Program, which is jointly administered by the Montgomery County Commerce Department and The Redevelopment Authority of Montgomery County.
âGrants of $10,000 are being awarded to each qualifying business. This is the initial allocation of a total of $6 million in county economic development funds that the board of commissioners has approved to support restaurants and other food service businesses that have suffered financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic,â Lawrence, vice chairman of the board of commissioners, said during a news briefing at which officials update the public about the coronavir

NORRISTOWN, PA The application period for the Montgomery County restaurant relief program, which will award select establishments $10,000, is now open.
The Montco Strong 2021 Restaurant Grant Program makes a total of $5 million in county economic development funds available to local restaurants and food service businesses hoping to survive the pandemic. We know that our restaurants are really struggling to stay open right now without in-person dining and we miss gathering at these places to share special times with family and friends, Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence said in a statement Wednesday.
