The Earl of Wessex has visited two schools opened by his father and spoken to students about the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.
Staff from Christ’s College and Pond Meadow schools in Guildford, Surrey, recalled memories of Philip’s visit in 2009.
Edward also watched students from Christ’s College perform a short piece from Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the theatre, which was opened in the duke’s name.

Footy fans were treated to an old-fashioned shootout as Carlton bested Essendon 123-107 in a high-scoring affair on Sunday at the MCG.
The historical rivals traded blows all afternoon with the ball moving freely from end to end throughout.
Essendon started the game well before Carlton brought them back at half-time with the margin remaining tight until the Blues began to pull away late.
Ultimately, Carlton had a little too much class for the Bombers with Sam Walsh continuing his remarkable season thus far with 33 disposals and a goal.

Three women have been arrested in Newtownabbey, County Antrim accused of importing drugs into Northern Ireland.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) and Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) worked to detain the women, aged 26, 47 and 48, on Thursday morning.
A 29-year-old man was also arrested after a suspected gun was found.
The arrests follow the interception of 11 postal packages sent from the Netherlands and Belgium between October 2020 and April 2021.
The drugs were allegedly being sent to three addresses in Northern Ireland when they were intercepted by Border Force officers who worked with the NCA and PSNI s paramilitary crime task force.
